Hi guzzy89, Method 1 There is a possibility that some third party programs installed on the computer is causing the issue.I would suggest that you place the computer in clean boot state and try to install MSN software. To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Refer the below link to know more about clean boot procedure. How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353 Method 2If the above step fails then I would suggest that you run SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.a) Click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK. b) At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER.Note: You may be prompt to insert the Windows XP CD. For additional information post your query in the MSN discussions.http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.msn.discussion Hope this helps!Halima S - Microsoft Support.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
